A Letter For My Soulmate
On the 26th of August 2013, I wrote a letter to my soulmate, and it’s most likely because classes were boring, and I just thought I should put it down somewhere in case I lose this piece of foolscap paper and also to put in brackets my thoughts this year and compare them to my thoughts last year.
Dearest soulmate, (Seriously? Dearest?)
How are you? Good, I hope. (Your English teacher would be very proud of that introductory greeting!)
So anyway, I was wondering if you were wondering about me just as I was wondering about you. (Ew) I’m thinking on whether I have already met you (prolly not, I hope), or soon enough I would be able to. I’m wondering on whether we would cross each other’s paths without knowing that we were for each other, or like parallel lines, stay close to each other but never connecting. (Overrun of sentences gah!) It’s sad to think of both possibilities. But I stay optimistic & hope that one day, we’d meet & we’ll know. (Know what? Seriously? What? I’m interested.)
What do you like to do? Because personally, I don’t spend my time writing to someone who may or may not be fictional, (well, you’re doing it rn!) but what I do like to do is read and write. As a kid, I believed in fairytales, but as I grew older, I realised that fairytales only exist in story books, (true that homie!) and that if you wanted your happily-ever-after, you can’t just sit around waiting for your Prince Charming, you must fight for it. (You shouldn’t even be trying to find your prince whatever!) but as a sixteen year old, I don’t think I don’t have enough experience to go looking for you. (Phew, told ya!) I hope you understand.
Though someday, I promise you that I would put much more effort in finding you, I hope you try as much as I do in looking for you, because to have a healthy relationship, both persons must exert the same effort to keep the relationship balanced. (And by this sentence, I understand that it was prolly physics period) Just like the principle of moments, total anti-clockwise moment = total clockwise moment. (Deffo) I just had to say that, I’m sorry. Anyway, so I’m telling you right now, when that moment comes where you meet me halfway, beware, because I’m not planning on letting you go. (Okay, that’s pretty cute) I don’t give up easily, you could ask my mama, she knows that. (Unless you’re flappy bird, then you could go screw yourself) Ever since I was a kid, if I knew that I wanted to have something, I would go the extra mile to make sure I get it. So you better be ready. I hope I don’t sound creepy or anything, (you kinda do) but I would want a daughter named Athena. Just a heads up. (Okay, you’re creepy, your soulmate is running to the other direction, but Athena does sound nice)
Anyway, I really do hope that I would be able to find you and know exactly who you are. If we ever get married, know that the vows I make are nothing but the truth. (Wait, what vows???) You know what? I’d go ahead and say it, I love you, always have loved the idea of a soulmate and if you’re out there, (geez, clingy much?) just remember that if you feel unloved, I’m here. Loving you from afar. (You’re borderline psychotic homie) That sounds creepy but oh well. (More than creepy!)
<3 your other half, (I swear, you’re creepy as hell!!!!)

PS Yeah this is creepy, I hope I didn’t chase you off x (you most certainly did)
Okay so that was it, my somewhat childish self who believed in romance, now I just want free food. I don’t like any of you. So yeah, hope you enjoyed laughing at me (I know I did.)
