Saying hello to a stranger.
'Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.' Before any introductions, I would just want to share with you this quote I heard from the movie A Cinderella's Story starring Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray. I watched this movie when I was in 4th grade, and this quote was just the quote I lived by. I am now in Secondary 4/ 12th grade. A senior athlete, wanting to make the most out of my last year in high school. Hey there, I'm Anika.
Whether you're a friend or just a stranger passing by, I don't mind you reading any of the things I write because I have opinions & you are more welcome to say an opinion about my opinion. I love making new friends! Anyhoo, basically that's the information I think we need to start with. Some are just going to slip out in one of these posts, so watch out, stranger! Let the ranting begin!
I personally feel as if blogs are just diaries on the Internet. It's your choice whether to share it with somebody or just keep it all to yourself. But what's the point of a private blog without anyone reading it, right? Wrong. Blogs are part of the Internet. Internet is what mostly keeps us teenagers on our feet everyday, it's a way of communication. We go on Facebook (infrequently), Twitter (follow me!) & many other social apps such as Instagram(there too!) even if adults say that if we have too much of it, we're less likely to have a successful future! Aha. That's just bullcheese! I mean, look at Mark Zuckerberg, don't you think he only used Microsoft Word to become the billionaire he is now? NO! Well besides being a genius and all, he used the Internet! How do I know that? I watched The Social Network! Anyhoo, back to the point! What's my point again? Oh right, private blogs are okay, because it's either that reason, maybe you're a real introvert, or you just have a really bad handwriting and can't have a real notebook as your diary. Like me! At least, I'm doing something rather school related on the Internet, besides tap tap tap on your keyboard is better than swish swish swish of you pen on the paper. So, after you read this, you could start your own blog! Or if you're a potato (like me!) you can think about it first, and maybe start when you'd rather blog than do homework. (ditto!)
Oh, as you can see, I'm kind of not on the normal side. And maybe you got confused by the name of my blog, washed-updreamer OH SO HIPSTER! Well, if you weren't one, you're not gonna be reading up to this point, aren't ya? ;) well, I heard that term in Glee. ( I recently watched the whole season 1, & I actually liked it ) so yeah, I was just so inspired by that term, I decided to dedicate a whole blog page just for it. I'm not lonely or anything because I have the most awesome family & friends, there may have been a few obstacles on my way, the road may have been bumpy, but like I said, I've been living up to that quote just above a few lines. I don't ever want to give up, I'll keep fighting, til' my heart stops beating. Cuz then I'd be dead... And wouldn't be able to move.. Or to fight.. Get it?? No? Okay. But yeah, I survived those ominous twists and turns. Because I believe that only makes us stronger, and loving of the people that were there all throughout that bumpy path. So I might stop here for now, because I'm going to study ( that's code term for surfing the net more ) and I hope you don't hate me so much yet, because I would be posting a lot more of these rants in the next few days! Stay cool, stranger! x
PS I have no idea how to use this right, but I'll get the hang of it, sooner or maybe later. But I'll try!
