Enough is enough.


No matter how many excuses you come up with to postpone your workout…

“It’s too early.”
“I’m not as fat as some people.”
“It’s the weekends.”
“I deleted all the health apps on my phone to create more storage.”

At the end of the day, when you’re laying in bed, you’ll always come up with the one thought to counter everything else.

“Why didn’t I do something?”

Whenever someone asks you to share some things about yourself, you always tell them that you’ve been an athlete all your life. You’ve taken Swimming, Badminton, Volleyball, Netball and tried out most of the sports out there, so I guess that is true.

But ask yourself now, What are you?

To tell you bluntly, you’re a couch potato. No, wait, bed potato.

You never leave your bed anymore except to take the junk that you call food. You’ve got yourself two workout shoes, one for staying at home with your yoga mat, and one for running. AND BOTH ARE USED AS DISPLAYS.

What happened to the motivated girl I saw just a year ago? The one who still did her daily workout after a grueling day of Netball training? WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GIRL WHO PROMISED HERSELF THAT THIS YEAR SHE WOULD BE IN THE BEST SHAPE OF HER LIFE?

Because in her place, is a girl that seems to be in the heaviest she’s ever been in.

I know that it’s hard to find the momentum to carry on. You’re always at home, you have an amazing array of books that can be read anytime, you can just go to your dad’s place if you want to have a good wifi connection.

But I’m telling you, that’s about to change.

I’m done trying to feed you non sense about my weight is fine, I don’t need to be ‘hot’ anyways. I’m done trying to feed you, literally.

STOP WITH THE JUNK FOOD ALREADY !!!

I’m telling you this because I’m tired of being unheard. You’ve done yourself proud multiple times, so I don’t want to be hearing you saying that you can’t do this because it is difficult to achieve what you really want.

From this day forward, I want you to try. And that even if you don’t get to the same level as you were before, make your way towards there. Because once you do, you’ll be back on track.

I promise you, you won’t regret listening to me this time, because we both want this. For you, for us.
